About UI Collabo

  1. How do I get started with UI Collabo?

    If you are new to UI Collabo, please click here to view our Quick Starter Guide. It's easy for anyone to get started.

  2. Can I Use UI Collabo for free?

    Yes, it is free. However, there are limitations on storage space and number of projects, so you will need to switch to a paid plan if necessary. Details of each plan can be found here.

  3. Do my clients need to create a UI Collabo account to be able to access the project progress?

    Yes, you would need to invite them to the project and register an account to log in.

  4. Can I use UI Collabo for other purposes besides website development?

    Yes, certainly. Any images can be uploaded, so you can register PDF files, landing page design data, banner images, etc. and communicate creative instructions for modification.

  5. Can data be deleted from a single project?

    Yes, project admins can delete data from each project.

  6. Can invited users join multiple projects?

    Yes, they can join multiple projects.

  7. Is there a limit to the size of attachments?

    The maximum file size is 30 MB.

  8. Is there a limit to the number of pages that can be added to a project?

    The maximum number of pages is 100.

  1. Can I change my registered email address?

    You can update your email address from the "Personal Settings" in the upper right menu.

  2. Where can I change my password?

    You can delete it from the "Personal Settings" in the upper right menu.

  3. Can I delete my account?

    If you wish to delete your account, please contact our support.

  4. Can invited users create a separate workspace?

    Invited users (guest users) can create up to one organization per e-mail address. Click here to see how to create a workspace.

  5. How many members can I add to a project?

    Trial/Personal Use: One Organization User (*1) is allowed per project, but there is no limit to the number of General Users (*2). *1 Other than general users *2 General users cannot create or delete new projects or members. Enterprise Use: Organizational users are a minimum of five users or more per project. There is no limit as to the number of general users. Details of each plan can be found here.

Mode Selection Feature

  1. How do I distinguish between the three display modes?

    Please click here to learn how to best use each display mode.

  2. In dual mode, images can be compared on the left and right. Which one is the latest?

    On the right side, the original image you added instructions on is displayed, and the left side will be the one after the modification. You can compare those images next to each other to see if the design changes have been reflected.

  3. Which mode do I use to upload the first image?

    It’s recommended you upload the image in the single mode. That would allow you to add correction instructions on a large screen.

  4. Under what circumstances is the Layer mode useful?

    Layer mode allows you to layer two images with transparency, therefore highly recommended for those who want to give detailed instructions and focus on a pixel level.

  5. Are captured images reflected in all modes?

    Yes, it is. It is automatically reflected.

Modification Status Management Feature

  1. Do you get notified when a modification is requested?

    Yes, you will receive a notification. It will be sent to the registered email address.

  2. Can a contact person be assigned to each correction request?

    Yes, you can tag the relevant person whenever you send a correction instruction in a comment. The tagged person will receive a notification.

  3. Is the Google Translate function available only in English and Japanese?

    Now it is only in Japanese and English, but we plan to add more languages in the near future.

  4. Where can I find out when a correction is finalized?

    Each message is marked in one of three statuses: Open, In-Progress and Complete. Messages that have been checked will be updated to "In-Progress" by the person in charge, and when the task is completed, the message will be marked as completed.

  5. Where can I check if all the correction requests have been addressed?

    Go to the list of pages on the left side of the screen, a number will be displayed if there are any open tasks.

  6. Can I attach files to the correction requests?

    Yes, you can attach files with the following extensions.
    jpg, jpeg, pjpeg, jfif, png, gif, bmp, dib, svg, svgz, webp, pdf, m4v, mp4, mov, webm, text, txt, dot, doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, ai, psd, xd

Browser check Feature

  1. How detailed is the browser check?

    The number of target browsers will likely be determined according to your estimate. The target browser count tends to go up for bigger projects with more budget.

  2. Who does the browser check?

    It may vary depending on how your company is structured. The following three are common: (1) A team of web directors (2) A dedicated QA team (3) Client side at the time of acceptance (4) An outside expert

  3. How many browser sizes should you target?

    The number of target browsers can be decided by each client. In order to save cost, many choose to only support the minimum number of browser sizes required. If you have the budget and time, you can increase the number of target browsers and conduct more detailed revisions.

  4. Is a browser check required after publication?

    Yes, it is required. Even if you carefully check the site before it is published, a final check is necessary to ensure that the results of the test are reflected in the actual production environment.

  5. What are the devices in the environment to be checked?

    Major browsers must be checked: Chrome, Safari, Edge, FireFox, etc. It is important to check the browsers most used by users for each company.

  6. How many browser sizes are max?

    Up to 10.

  7. In which browsers are images captured?

    Images captured by UICollabo are in the latest version of Chrome.

  8. It looks like the fonts were altered in the screenshots?

    If the fonts don’t exist in the system, it would be substituted. Alternatively, you could manually upload screenshots if you need it to be a specific web font.

Modification Status Management Feature

  1. Can I register multiple projects at once?

    Yes, to register projects in batches, please upload the project information using the CSV template.

  2. How many levels of pages can be registered?

    Up to 5 levels. You can easily change the hierarchy from the settings of each page.

  3. How can I track the status of my revisions?

    The green mark in the status column indicates completion.

  4. Can I assign a person per page?

    Yes, you can assign a person in charge for each page. You can also tag members to send notifications when you want to assign them a task.

  5. Can I assign a person per project?

    Yes, you can add a user for each project from the settings.

Design Version Control Feature

  1. How can I manage version control?

    When you capture an image, the history is automatically updated, so you do not need to do anything in particular to keep track.

  2. When can I use the version control feature?

    By having a version history available, multiple project members can easily share all the previous changes.

  3. What are the advantages of cloud-based version control?

    It facilitates a hustle-free collaboration online.

  4. Can I delete past history?

    Is there a limit to the number of versions that can be saved?

  5. Does UI Collabo support multiple languages?

    Yes, you may switch between languages by clicking the language switch button. Google Translate function is also available, so make sure you enable translation when sending a message, it will be commented on in two languages.

  6. How can I assign additional members?

  1. How do I change my UI Collabo plan?

    You can change your settings on the "Settings" page. However, only the organization administrator can make changes regarding payment.
